Does Meal Planning Help Keto?
Published: 1 year ago

Recently we’ve tackled the importance of meal planning for weight-loss, but you may be wondering how that applies to keto and would there be any difference?
Although meal planning is essential for any type of diet, planning one for a keto requires further research and studying to make sure that you are only eating 100% keto-friendly food and deciding on an appropriate eating schedule to guarantee that you will reach and maintain ketosis.
As we know, a keto diet follows a common macro breakdown of:
- 55–70% fats
- 20–25% protein
- 5–10% carbohydrates
This meal planning for a keto diet is essential to stick to these macronutrient ratio requirements and remember: The lower the carb intake, the easier it is to reach and maintain in ketosis.
As Julie Stefanski, R.D.N., C.S.S.D., L.D.N., a dietitian based in York, PA, who specializes in the ketogenic diet has said, "the biggest reason people have a hard time sticking with keto is that people don't have enough interesting foods to turn to, and high-carb favourites win out over good intentions.”
Having doubts? We know the struggle of making sure if each ingredient is keto-friendly or not.
Lucky for you, you can leave the hassle to us so you can focus more on your other activities for physical and mental wellbeing.
